I am married with two adult children and one grandchild. My wife and I recently moved to Rocklin to be closer to our daughter and grandchild. I am retired. I have been drawing and painting all my life. In high school I was a finalist in a large art competition and was nominated for an art scholarship. After serving in the military, I attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena where I majored in Illustration. Since graduating from Art Center I have had some success with art shows and was published in a book by the US Naval Institute. In the early 1990’s I was commissioned by a US Marine Corp jet fighter squadron to paint a scene of an air strike they flew in the Gulf War. The finished painting was later accepted by the Marine Corps Museum. These days I enjoy painting landscapes, barns, old buildings and other nostalgic subjects. I work in a variety of mediums including pen & ink, pencil, scratch board, acrylics and oils.
