Artist Bio: Amedee Brickey
After a fulfilling 35-year career in wildlife conservation, I retired in 2020 and discovered my passion for kiln-formed glass. What started three years ago as a fun activity with a friend has grown into a serious pursuit. I've been creating unique fused glass pieces for my own enjoyment and as gifts, and I am excited to share my work.
Though my professional background is in protecting the natural world, my new artistic endeavors reflect a lifelong appreciation for its beauty. I continue to support wildlife conservation through my volunteer work with the Ventana Wildlife Society, while also enjoying my time traveling, gardening, and hiking in the Sierra Mountains.
