Born in Fresno, California, Amber Lynn Howell became a world traveler at the early age of four days old, living in Yosemite National Park for five years. She then was swept off to the beautiful Island of Catalina where she started her education.
From there her story becomes a blur of town after town, and school after school, until at age fifteen Amber finally settles in El Dorado County. Soon after starting a modest modeling career, Amber decided she wanted to be the one in charge of the camera. She bought her first Nikon camera and opened a new chapter in her life.
Shortly thereafter Amber attended Butte College in Oroville, California and acquired an AA in Photography. She became a Photojournalist for a local newspaper in Placerville for about a year, then started photographing weddings and special events for eighteen years.
Although Amber made many people happy with her photographs she felt something was missing in her life. Amber went back to her passion and is currently photographing nature and wildlife in Northern California. You can view more of her work at http://www.ambersmetalartandphotography.com/.
